I'm developing a site in Joomla CMS which use both MooTools and
jQuery.
I've created a small, clean page where you can see the problem:

i haven't had anything to do with jquery so far. as much as i've dug

Hi all,
The code below shows three thumbnails with link and alt text . The

the page.
Now I want to add a tooltip that is using Mootools.
I have to add title="The tooltip::I want to read" class="tipz" to the

I am not as impressed with the documentation as you are. I find the
use of the English language weak in many places and often walk away

jQuery outperforms Prototype by leaps and bounds. Surely this is an
important reason for jQuery's increasingly popularity over Prototype.
Thanks for the great reference!

This article was also very useful, and I thank you for introducing me
to Google Trends. Surely jQuery is far more popular than either
Prototype or MooTools, and rising in popularity. MooTools, though not
particularly popular, appears to cater to a different audience and is
holding its own.

The article that you provided is well written and revealed that jQuery
and MooTools are designed with very different goals in mind. I found
this article to be the most helpful. Indeed, one need not even choose
between them, as they offer very different things.

DisasterMan more or less wrote exactly what I would have said. I've
used Prototype/Script.aculo.us and the lack of (good) documentation

I started with Prototype/Script.aculo.us, tried MooTools, and moved to
JQuery.
I don't have very technical reasons to support this just personal
experience.
I was amazed by Prototype, having not used a framewqork before, but
found it fiddly and not terribly well documented.
MooTools was just rea

All 3 frameworks have pros and cons. They have many technical
similarities and each come with their own set of problems. If you can
avoid using a framework, always do that. But if the pros of using a
framework outweigh the cons, I think the decision mostly comes down to
popularity.

jQuery, prototype, and MooTools all provide very good to excellent FAQs and
documentation on their respective websites.
Barring that, why not just mock up some simple interface (say, something
with an accordion interface, making an AJAX call to a static HTML file to
replace some content) and try i
