Hi I dont know about the best way since I don't use this yet in dnn development.
But pagemethods means you will have to dive into aspx code ( page methods dont work in usercontrols so they also dont work in dnn mdoules ) thsi is tricky since then you will ahve to be very carefull about upgrading when a new dnn relase is out.
