Hi,
In IE you have to apply z-index to certain ancestors, due to a bug. On
another thread, Olivier Percebois-Garve provided this link to a
discussion of the problem.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. For anyone else experiencing
the same problem with this plugin..I applied a z-index to the .nav class
