the clueTip options are pretty much set up the way Mike Alsup
describes in his excellent blog post,

I've never actually used the metadata plugin, but maybe this would be
the way to go. In any case, clueTip supports it.
If someone out there has experience with the metadata plugin, perhaps
you could chime in?
