upon loading the page i have:
$ is not defined
[Break on this error] $(document).ready(function(){
and then opening and closing a thickbox i get
TB_remove is not defined
then everything else is cained... the calendars and other javascript
bits
Updating your thickbox would sound like the best answer:

It generally works that 1.0.whatever maintains backwards compatability
from 1.0, but if you move to 1.1.whatever, that only maintains
backwards compatability from 1.1
