In the documentation for the remote option of the jquery valdiate plugin, it says the remot script can return true, false etc. or "....a string, eg. "That name is already taken, try peter123 instead" to display as the error message."
What I cannot work out is how to actually display the the message returned by the remote script as the error message for that field. Does anyone know how this is done? Thank you in advance. Jason
