One approach you might consider is trying to use the get method for the first time the page is called and then using the post method for each subsequent call. In your JSP you could then check to see how the request was sent and react appropriately. -- From: A mailing list about Java

Duc – If you’re looking for some way to have the ./startup.sh command ran at boot time, then you might want to try something as Follows. This is SuSE but I’m sure there is a similar file used in Slack. /etc/boot.local is the file SuSE used to run startup scripts after it enters run level 3 JAVA_HO

Andy – As you probably already know, IBM markets their product Websphere, in a total package for developers, designers and Web Admins. As a programmer, I wouldn’t be too concerned about the App Server as much as I would be concerned about the Application Development tool. IBM’s WSAD (WebSpher
