Hi Openjumpers,
I made a upgrade of MeasureTools plugin available here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/opensit/files/Openjump/PlugIn/MeasureExtension/
Measure Tools for OpenJUMP is a collection of Java classes that provide
functions to make some geographic measurements on a map using OpenJUMP

Last version measuretools-0.7 (31 gen 2013)

LIST OF MEASURE TOOLS (version 0.7)

- Measure lenght of a segment
- Measure lenght of a linestring
- Measure area of a polygon
- Measure area of a rectangle
- Measure area of a circle by radius
- Measure area of a circle by 3 points
- Measure angle between two segments (23 points click)
- Measure angles of a triangle (ver. 0.7)
- measure angle by goniometer
- Measure azimuth of a segment
- Measure azimuth of an angle bisector
- Measure lenght of a segment in Geographic Coordinate System (ver. 0.7 -
see note below)
- Measaure Easting/Northing coordinates

Measures are not temporary but saved on related files (Measure-distance,
Measure-area, Measure-angle and Measure-azimuth).
In this way they can be used for further geographic anaysis. for instance:
- to collect azimuths of geological layers from a geological map in order
to rebuild structures like fold axes orientation and distribution on an
area.
- to annote axes orientation of drainage to investigate possible geological
or morphological structures.
-to annote areas of parcels or buildings from aerial photos for cadastral
usage.

Currently Measure tools use meters (for lenghts and areas) and degrees
(for angles and azimuths) for displaying measurements

To use measure tools, decompress measuretool-0.7.zip file and copy
measuretools-07.jar and jcoord-1.1-b.jar files to OpenJUMP/LIB/EXT folder

NOTE
"Measure distance between 2 points in geographic coordinates too" resets on
jcoord java library for coordinates conversions (
http://www.jstott.me.uk/jcoord/).
This tool currently is still under test as it shows an error of measure
between 0.5% to 5% . It is not recommended to use it for accurate
measurements.
jcoord java library is realized under GNU licence ver 2.

See read.txt file for further informations
