Hi Stefan,
For windows I'd like it to be openjump.exe.
For all UNIX based platforms I'd like it to be just openjump, and if
necessary put the logic in this file to do anything different on various
flavours of UNIX (inc MacOSX)

Paul,
It looks like Stephan helped us out with the testing on Linux. Since
I'm running the same distro as him I see no reason to wait until I try
it this weekend. I still give it a run and will get back to you only
if I have problems.

Does anyone have MacOSX? If so could you try the new startup script, I'd
like to see if there are any issues on that platform.
Cheers,

Paul,
Can you wait until this weekend? I will try it on my Debian box at
that time. It sounds like I need to add some of the modifications you
made to the script that I am using in my temporary Linux distribution
of OpenJUMP.
I think you are a more advanced Bash user than I, so I'll have to use

What file name shall I give the checked in version? I like just using
openjump rather than having a .sh and platform on the end. Although we
could create a generic build that has all of the start s

Andreas,
I have made some changes in the attached file that will allow users to
customize the settings by creating a ~/.jump/openjump.profile where they
can add additional JAVA_OPTS and generally change settings.
The script also uses basename on the command so you don't have to deal
with set
Hi Andreas,

batch scripts the file should have the svn:eol-style property set see

Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone is using the startup script for unix. It
seems it has Windows/DOS line endings...
If nobody has any objections, I would check in a new version, together
with an enhancement that automatically adds any libraries in the lib
directory to the classpath (this make
