Oracle Java jre 1.7 in my laptop.
Did you try the portable version of OpenJUMP?

Can we see what is written in your openjump.log file when you try to
open the application ?
Otherwise, you can change line 16 of the batch file (oj_windows.bat) from
rem set JAVA_BIN=java
to
set JAVA_BIN=java
After this change, the console should stay open when you start OpenJUMP
and
