I know there is still some bugs related to vertex styles, but what's
wrong is still not clear for me.

Hello,
under OJ 1.4.0.2 Vertex plugin works (but not orientation by attribute on my
pc) and brings the adapted symbols after loading the project file (same
sequence as Michaël posted).

I could not reproduce your problem with the following sequence (OpenJUMP
1.4.0.2 + Windows Vista) :
- create a new layer
- create some points
- with vertex symbol dialog, set Vector symbol
- save layer as jml
- save project as test.jm
The problem is only seen when reloading a save project file - the plugin
seems to work when first used on a layer, but on reloading the project
containing that layer the Vertex style is corrupted.
