thanks to Egdar and Pepper - so my take is we use 1.4.2 and if we find
magically some time until the feature freeze (7th of Jan) we take a
snapshot.
Hence, no changes to Michaels response to Cameron.

I am in a hurry to complete stud's projects before Christmas holiday.
I try to give an answer going back to what I remember (from 1.4.2 to Night
built) about OJ for Ubuntu,รน
after Christmases I will do some deeper tests.
The main problem under Ubuntu, regarding
no sorry. i am a bit short on time lately. so i am not able to do anything
bigger. i couldn't lay a hand on the file dialog so far.
Peppe: Could you check 1.4.2 on linux again and come back if you find show
stoppers? Maybe we should pimp 1.4.2 a little and distribute a 1.4.3 interim
