Turns out it was a fat-finger mistake, and I had inadvertently
inserted a control character (ctrl-T). The 'syntax error:' was
showing me what the mistake wasbut it was an invisible character.

an upcoming maintenance I'm doing, and a commit check is failing
strangely:

Hi David .. yes this is supported across multiple FPC's (and is the
normal way of doing this I would say, for port/pic/fpc redundancy)
