It's worth reading the 12.1 release notes if you run any M/MX/T as there's a
bunch new and possibly useful, eg MPLS-TP, LLDP enhancements.
EX4[25]00 also now have NSSU in virtual chassis.
In other news there's a bunch of new inter
MIC's:
ATM - MIC-3D-8OC3-2OC12-ATM (12.1 release notes)

You guys may find this useful, so I thought I would share this. It is a
user-side javascript I created that adds colors to the standard JUNOS
EOL page:

Screenshot of what it does once you install it:
If your SE is not aware of the software issues etc - feel free to reach out
to me we've invested a lot of time recently dealing with MX subscriber
PPPOE issues and worked with Juniper a lot on this.

If you wanted to forward that traffic to another provider (wholesale it

Actually, to forward via L2TP you'll need LAC functionality. LNS is the

Curious if anyone has used one AC and one DC power supply in an MX80? Yes, I
know the docs say it's not supported but we all know how that goes.
Thanks,

Probably a bad idea.. You shouldn't really even be mixing AC and DC
power in the same racks if you can avoid it..

The big issue is not will the device support it, but why devices
generally don't,

Yes, I'm using this setup. DC power from DC-UPS, and AC from wall.

A timely discussion for sure:
MX80 - No LAC or LNS support [1] and none planned*
MX240, 480, 960 - LAC and LNS supported, MPCs only [1][2]
M120 (AS/AS2 MS PICs) - LNS support only [2]
M7i/10i (AS/AS2 MS PICs) - LNS support only [2]
BRAS is one of those features that is actually getting better
