loopback interface. So if you apply the input direction filter on the
loopback interface, it would simulate the exact behavior of the control

I'd strongly suggest using virtual chassis (as long as your somewhat current
on your Junos version). Virtual Chassis is now a mature technology, and it's
much easier to administer than the STP route, (faster, better, stronger)
