What's your opinion of them? Have you tried bringing up vpn's and using
them in networks with the old netscreen boxes?

You can put multiple addresses on the same unit - like having multiple
ip addresses on unit 0, but not make multiple units with ip addresses,
at least afaik

I got some good advice that my limits are suspiciously close to some tcp
limits -- I have tried some tuning in my kernel but I am going to try
hacking around a bit more and see if it helps with anything as well.

experience with issue like this? A quick search just found that the way
to "solve" this issue is to disable syn flood protection, but I'd prefer
to not use that hack.
