Hi All,
I am trying to use bootp forwarding to do some server installs across vlans on a M40 (Junos 8.0) I have helpers { bootp { description "install.lumison.net bootp forwarder"; server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx; maximum-hop-count 15; relay-agent-option; interface { ge-0/2/0.blah { server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx; maximum-hop-count 15; } } } When the server boots I can see the bootp request hit the install server and the install server send the offer back, but the offer never reaches the original server. Instead I see it being blocked in syslog :- Feb 13 17:05:52 nbg-bdr-01/nbg-bdr-01 /kernel: %FIREWALL-6-FW: .local..0 R udp yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy 255.255.255.255 67 68 Where yyy.yyy.yyy.yyyy is the ip address on the M40 of the vlan with the original server I cannot see any local firewall that should be blocking ports 67 or 68 Any suggestions?
