Hi Jim,
Do you think we should tag the CVS at each development snapshot to get a
quick access to modifications since release x.y.z ? If so, maybe someone
(me ?) should do this before a new patch is committed.

version may not work for cross environment. The reason is it introduces
new check for 'in_port_t' and if it fails it tries to determine
'in_port_size' by executing a test program. This mod is introduced
to support getaddrin
