Hi all,
here at TU Dresden we successfully ported the Kaffe to L4 [1,2] using the development environment L4Env [3]. Since DROPS [4] --an operating system on top of L4--is real-time capable, one of our students (Alexander) is investigating the possibility to integrate RTSJ into Kaffe. Is or has there been a similar project for Kaffe? Are you interested in such work?


As he went through Kaffe's source code, he found several places where the JVM has to be modified to conform to the RT spec (e.g., memory access control, and such). Is anyone interested in discussing these changes with him?
