I do not think we would add the function to the metadata editor. Presumably it
would be a plugin for the BQM where fields can be selected from a list of
metadata and then applied to all images.

Did a bit of testing: I installed 4.2.3, 4.2.2, 4.2.1, 4.2.0 and 4.1.7
Only 4.1.7 worked as intended: left click+hold to drag. Release to drop layer
to new spot in layers docker. Everything 4.2.0 and beyon
