I just tried this with X and there is a freeze of about 5 to 10 seconds where I
cannot interact with the desktop. Then all panel gets added to "primary
display". Plasma does not crash for this case.

@Alois, I was able to replicate the issue as you described as well. I expected
ctrl+F1 to take me to the console which doesn't work for me in kwayland but
