It may be caused on Firefox side by depleted file descriptor poll - Firefox
fails to allocate new buffers to draw into so transparent window is provided.
Check journal if you see any error messages.

btw. Mozilla nighly builds are now created with Wayland support, you just need
to set GDK_BACKEND=wayland.

Also there's a new Firefox wayland build at

I suspect KDE does not set _NET_WM_STATE_FOCUSED when the window is running in
CSD mode although I didn't look into the KDE sources.
