My current version is 21.04.2 - so I can't test it... but will try it once I
upgrade. But if I have to guess... I think the Esc key is quite far away,
whereas the S and X keys are next to each other. Thanks.

Stop the presses - I just noticed that if I click in the top corner - this is
the "fade" effect - and this seems to default to about 1 or 2 secs - which is
fine for me. So I'll use the "fade"
