I can reproduce this in my compiled-in-docker build on current master.
Interestingly enough, while I still didn't get this in the 4.1.7 appimage even
once despite trying spending quite some time on it over several

I also get this issue on the 4.2.5 and 4.2.7.1b appimages, but not on the 4.1.7
appimage.
I'm going to try fix my docker build and see if I can reproduce it there—that
would give me a chance to bisect it.

If PyQt5.QtCore.PYQT_VERSION works for that version, there is no reason not to
switch to that. In fact, it seems to be the cleaner solution as it looks like
that is where PYQT_VERSION etc are defined in the first

I wonder if this is due to the same commit: Since about the same time I've had
frequent segfaults when confirming moves or transformations. I haven't found a
reliable set of steps to reproduce, though, but once

I can reproduce this with various recent nightly builds. There's probably other
combinations of selecting/layer actions leading to this, but the steps above
work every time for me.

Well, yes, the feature isn't in 4.1.7, it's only in the development version
(nightly builds) so far and will be released with the upcoming 4.2 version.
