I changed my computer and the ubuntu version from 18.04 to 20.04,
(more exact: Zorin OS 15.3 to 16)
then installed Krusader again, this time version 2.7.2 "Peace of Mind"
Now directory compar

Dear Davide,
in an intzernet forum I found out that pressing Ctrl-Y led me to that
window which then permits me to compare the directories.
Before that, just only Compare directorie does nothing.
