I also did a memory scan and tried hard resetting to a previous git version,
then re-saving the project in kdenlive under different system conditions
although everything outside of kdenlive is running fine.

Logging in and out to/from x11 and Wayland doesn't change anything, I.e. x11
screens are always correct and Wayland screens are always wrong.
