use the Open With option in context menu of the file, and select KDE Connect
from there. That should directly open the share menu of KDE Connect.

that's actually a problem we haven't gotten around to fix yet.. the
notification APIs for MIUI work differently and we mostly support the

Try pinging your device, if it's not reachable, check your firewall. If it is

you're not missing a step, it should be as straightforward as installing the
app, and pairing your two devices. Can you try another desktop, phone or maybe
a wifi hotspot for testing?
