I agree it's a useful feature, I was able to find a script to activate this
feature, but with some limitations. And that's quite enough. Please consider
adding this minor feature if possible.

But you can provide an opportunity for customization so that the user decides
whether he wants to see the icons or not. It is Linux, isn't it?
