Bug ID: 458225 Summary: Change the way of searching among _installed_ applications to consider only application / package NAMES Product: Discover Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: discover Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: khaluk...@gmail.com CC: aleix...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 151532 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=151532&action=edit screenshot When user is searching among _installed_ applications in Discover, it doesn't make sense to make it any more complex, rather than searching by matching a search token with package / application names. At this point chances are 95% that user is already knowing what is he looking for. And you can guess for what purpose - either to remove it, to write a review or put his mark. As discussed with Nate here (https://invent.kde.org/plasma/discover/-/issues/18) raising this as a separate point. Attached a screenshot, to demonstrate how this feature works now - I tried to search for VLC among my installed apps -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
