Ditto for Discover. Type "sudo plasma-discover" in a terminal window, enter
password, and Discover will run as before.

One more item.
If I click on the systemsettings button the normal icons appear, but again
anything requiring authentication does not work. If i type:
sudo systemsettings
from a terminal, then all
