Bug ID: 444782 Summary: Random no sound issue when playing back tracks Product: Elisa Version: 21.08.1 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: matthieu_gall...@yahoo.fr Reporter: stu...@tase.co.uk Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When playing back tracks in Elisa periodically Elisa will output no sound at all. It most often happens from the start of the track and skipping backwards will often fix the issue, although it can take a few tries. Usually when it finishes playing the track and moves to the next track in the playlist the sound resumes. Pavucontrol GUI shows no audio activity from Elisa when this happens but sound from other applications works fine. I've been seeing this issue for a while but with less frequency so it's difficult to know exactly which version it start with. This is in Fedora 34 using pipewire. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Play a playlist 2. At some random point, when it moves to the next track no audio can be heard. 3. Clicking back on the progress bar will sometime 'fix' the issue, until it happens the next time. OBSERVED RESULT No sound from application. EXPECTED RESULT Sound from Application.
