Experiencing the same problem in Plasma 6.0 (also in Plasma 5 before that),
with xwaylandvideobridge version 0.4.0.
For me it's laggy even on 1080p, but only most of the time.
I do have two monitors connected

Another user was able to reproduce the issue on Gnome Wayland when using
desktop capture, but not during window capture.
The issue occurs uniformly for desktop and window capture on my end.
