Keep in mind that the Amarok version you use is pre-alpha and yet unreleased.
The backtrace mentions vlc once, but apparently the crash is in the underlying
system.

Right, I also wasn't sure where to file this. But given that this is only
triggered in Amarok, and not in any other phonon-based application (dragon,
juk), I figured Amarok devs would have a better idea of where the

This does not look like a crash in Amarok at all, at least I see no lines
relating to Amarok, might be in vlc, but even that doesn't appear likely
