Bug ID: 413346 Summary: Users have no way to flag issues affecting them Product: bugs.kde.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: sysad...@kde.org Reporter: chea...@gmail.com CC: she...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Using KDE means dealing with lots of issues. Over the years, I've flagged 95 issues which must have affected me at the time I voted for them, by casting a vote for them. It is often useful for a user to see a list of issues affecting him, in order to compare products, to determine if a product can be recommended, or just to find a ticket when he remembers having seen an issue reported before. Unfortunately, bugs.kde.org does not really allow that. Voting can somewhat play that role, but: 1. All products only allow a limited number of votes, so a user cannot flag as many issues as needed. 2. Voting has a meaning and should not be used only for the purpose of flagging an issue. 3. Some products do not even allow voting. Please provide a way for users to flag any ticket affecting them, and a page listing such flagged tickets. The page could be named "Issues affecting me". "My Bugs" should probably be renamed "Issues I reported" to avoid confusion. One extra benefit of such an addition is to allow reporting how many users are affected by an issue and who they are. However, privacy must be considered here - perhaps users should be given the choice to publish the issues affecting them or not. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
