RAM comparison
- open a folder in the Windows explorer and show it with small thumbnails
- now start digiKam and open the same folder as image preview
- now compare the RAM usage
result: while the Win explorer needs only 33 MB RAM for the image preview,
digiKam needs more than 100 MB more, see the attached screenshots.
This is quite a lot for the same action.
