ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Most systems now use decimal degrees rather than dms format, decimal degrees
also much easier to deal with if moving data around and plotting in other
systems. Note that full resolution to sub metre accuracy needs to be kept given
that this can be measured by dgps systems. I reported the significant loss of
resolution that used to happen in Lightroom with chopping off decimal places
and it took them about 5 years to fix it, hopefully it is not an issue in
digikam.
