            Bug ID: 445783
Summary: "Save as" does not change filename for later "Save"
                    action
           Product: digikam
           Version: 7.3.0
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: ImageEditor
          Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: war...@gmx.de
  Target Milestone: ---

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Edit a tif file called "image.tif"
2. press Ctrl+S, the image is saved in TIF format under "image.tif"
3. press Shift+Ctrl+S to save the image in jpeg format under "image.jpg"
4. press Ctrl+S to save again (after doing some more editing)

OBSERVED RESULT
Showfoto now saves a jpeg image under "image.tif". First problem: file format
and filename don’t match anymore. Second problem: the source is overwritten,
which to avoid was the purpose of Step 3.

EXPECTED RESULT
Ctrl+S should either keep format and filename from the last use of "Save As" or
keep format *and* filename of the original image source. The former way would
be the common behavior, the latter if you look at Gimp and its priority of its
own format as the only "real" source, and the other formats such as JPEG merely
an export format.
