Ah no, they have a "starred files" feature which makes files you've starred
show up in a special view. I guess it's different from this.

I've tested with nautilus, I couldn't add a bookmark for a file to the side
panel, only dirs.

Indeed. We could do a KDE-specific thing the way GNOME did when they
implemented this feature in Nautilus, but that would probably not be very nice.
Better to get a cross-desktop spec for it first.
