STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. In Kate, type hello 2. Hit enter three times 3. enable block selection (Ctrl+Shift+B) 4. select the three empty lines (2×Shift+Up) 5. type "hel" 6. "hello" should be suggested in the autocompletion popup. If not, ctrl+space 7.
