https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400290 --- Comment #4 from Nibaldo G. --- For syntax highlighting, the extensions have priority over the MIME type, and the extension ".conf" is assigned the "INI Files" highlighter. Another simple solution is to remove "*.conf" from the "INI Files"
