Ah actually, I found out.
I was using Dolphin to go to the device and copy paste my file. That is done
using the file explorer written by Samoilenko Yuri, which uses sftp.
If I disable the file explorer, I don't the the device in Dolphin, however if I
right click a file I can see a "send to zenfone 6 via KDE Connect", which
flawlessly sends the file in the download folder of my phone.
I am closing this bug.
