Yes, I believe KDE Connect only works when both devices are on the same
network, which means you'll either need to be on the same WiFi network or
(possibly) on a shared network like a VPN.

No it's just saying that I have to connect to a WiFi network, not a
specific one. My Motorola Razr Plus doesn't have any trusted networks
settings. It has thinkphone security enabled by default with no way to
