Yes, confirmed, the escape Key resume the drag gesture on my kubuntu 17.10 both
for kdenlive 17.12 and 18.04.

For me, pressing the Esc key allows me to abort the drag operation and resume
normal operation. Can you test ? I agree it's still a minor bug.
