I don't think that video helps, unfortunately. It's just a walk-through of the
installation process on Manjaro, and doesn't exhibit the same bug. Thanks for
the suggestion though.

What desktop environment is that? It looks like the Qt platform plugin it
provides returns incorrect font information.
