Bug ID: 478820 Summary: With reference audio subject to speed change, align to reference gives wrong results. Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: 23.08.4 Platform: Ubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Effects & Transitions Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: rob...@ten-ones-studio.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Import a video+audio clip recorded at 4x speed 2. Use "change speed" to speed up the clip 400% so it plays back at normal speed 3. Import an audio-only clip recorded at normal speed 4. Drag both clips to different tracks on the timeline 5. Select the sped-up audio as reference 6. Align the normal-speed audio to reference 7. Notice that the alignment is wildly incorrect. OBSERVED RESULT Alignment of normal-speed audio to slo-mo audio sped up to normal speed is entirely wrong. EXPECTED RESULT Normal-speed audio aligns correctly to reference audio which is slo-mo audio sped up to match normal speed.
