            Bug ID: 368177
Summary: Bookmarks/places are separated and hard to use, and
                    there's no "Recents"
           Product: kfile
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Kubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kdelibs-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: ddascalescu+...@gmail.com

I'm coming from Mint Cinnamon 18, where file open/save dialogs share a list of
bookmarks in the left sidebar. I can drag there directories I use frequently,
and the list is visible at all times. Great for quickly navigating around the
filesystem, this feature probably saves me half an hour every day.

KDE has places *and* bookmarks. What's the point of bookmarks?

Also, some file dialogs, Pinta's notably, don't support Places.

Reproducible: Always
