Depiction of the problem.
SUMMARY
The Preferences window is unable to resize. This is problematic when the
display size to DPI aspect ratio is lopsided enough to warrant dynamic
resizing.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Invoke VM with Kile installed.
2. Resize the display size to smaller than the window.
OBSERVED RESULT
The window renders past the display border. See

EXPECTED RESULT
It should resize.
