When open a mtp (android 7.0) device using dolphin, it shows 2 targets
(internal, external sd card). If the external sd card is selected, the
(detailed) file list is shown quickly.
If you select a lot of files, choose copy and paste into another dolphin
window, it takes a lot of time (serveral mins for 60 files) as first all file
information will be collected again, then it starts to copy which is fast.
