I tried to duplicate your problem with an appimage and it does not crash for me
nor does the computer freeze no matter how much I scroll up and down on the
home page. I tried different files (smaller and larger).

This build of the program is very unstable. Working in Reports and then
switching to another section such as Home or Budgets will cause the program to
crash and sometimes saving the data file with 0 bytes destroying
