prefix.sh being installed for root only looks like a bug. This is probably
caused by the assumption that nowadays people install into ~/.local (which is
the default prefix used by kdesrc-build if I remember

I agree with most of what Jack said. I was in fact trying to get a build that
did not interfere with the distro-supplied version of KMyMoney, and I did
"modify the build" from the defaults by specifying a

If someone wants to build and install kmymoney in lieu of a distro-supplied
version, I'm pretty sure it "just works." It's only if you modify any defaults
that issues arise. It might be reasonable to think that if you
